Why you are here

When identity becomes a board-level cost.

If one of these is true, set out the options now, while every route is still open.

  • Licence cost rises with your customers. Pricing per active user or per stored identity grows with every digital success.
  • A renewal or major upgrade is within 24 months. Options narrow and negotiating leverage falls as the date approaches.
  • The platform depends on scarce specialist skills. Key-person risk and slow change make every release expensive.
  • A migration has been discussed but never sized. Without evidence on the risk, the default is to renew.
What changes

When should you keep, renegotiate or replace your IAM platform?

01

Control five-year cost

Reduce unnecessary licensing and operational complexity where the evidence supports it.

02

Protect your customers

Maintain authentication journeys, availability and capability through change.

03

Retain the right platform

Optimise what works, negotiate better terms or move with a tested alternative.

Supported estates

Keycloak when change makes sense. Independent help when it does not.

We do not need to replace your platform to deliver value.

01

Keycloak and Red Hat build

Assess operating cost, migration feasibility, authentication continuity and supportability, then implement with our Accelerator.

02

Existing Ping environments

Independent specialist engineering for customer-owned PingAM, PingDS, PingGateway and PingOne Advanced Identity Cloud estates.

03

Operations and support

Keep journeys, integrations, observability and platform lifecycle dependable through Guardian and agreed L3 services.

Choose based on value

Keep, renegotiate or replace.

We do not need you to migrate to help you make a better commercial decision.

01

Optimise the estate

Reduce operational complexity and improve resilience in the platform you already own.

02

Build negotiation leverage

Understand the credible alternative before renewal terms become unavoidable.

03

Common questions

Questions about enterprise identity.

Do we have to replace our existing IAM platform?

No. We assess whether retaining, modernising, renegotiating or migrating the platform makes the most sense for your organisation.

Does Midships support Ping Identity?

Yes. Midships provides independent engineering, migration and agreed L3 implementation support across customer-owned PingAM, PingDS and PingOne Advanced Identity Cloud environments. Midships is not a Ping reseller.

How is zero-downtime migration demonstrated?

By compatibility testing, parallel deployment, realistic rehearsals, clearly defined cutover criteria, observability and a rollback plan. Each workload is assessed individually.

Renewal coming up?

Decide before the contract decides for you.

If your identity platform renews within 24 months, set out renew, renegotiate and migrate side by side while every option is still open.

Next step
